Boomerang Swap Blocks

Here are more pictures of blocks I made. I am hoping and praying they like their blocks!

Boomerang Swap Blocks received

Here are the blocks I received. They are all FABULOUS! More to come!

Boomerang Swap Blocks

I recently joined another quilting site called "Quilting Board". I actually LOVE this site! Theres LOTS of swaps, conversations, etc... going on. I recently joined a swap group called "Boomerang Swap". There are 36 swappers and we send each other a F8! Once we receive F8, we make a block. So far, I've only received 3 blocks back and I absolutely LOVE them!

As blocks start to come in I notice alot of brights coming in. YIKES! I am so use to working on Civil War reproductions that the bright fabrics are intimidating me!!!! I am trying so hard to open my mind and let me tell you, I am LOST! Anyway, Here are some of the blocks I have done so far!
I will post pictures of the blocks received shortly!

Dear Jane - Embroidery

Here are some pictures of Dear Jane Embroidery style. I plan to work on making 2-3 blocks a day along with my other Dear Jane quilt & Baskets Full of Treats. How? I have no idea but it will be done! :)

Basket full of Treats

I went into my favorite LQS and came across a new book that I HAVE to have! One the quilt patterns in this book caught my eye and decided to start right then and there. Actual quilt name is Trick or Treat but I decided to name my quilt "Basket full of Treats". Can you image 300 blocks? I thought I was NUTS with Dear Jane. At least this is only one pattern. Baskets will be Civil War reproductions with unbleashed muslin background. I have SOOOOO many CW fabrics, I could open up a CW fabric store! It is awful! My applique techniques are still at baby stage, I hope to master this technique very soon!

Dogs (grrrrrr)

These 2 looked SOOO CUTE I had to take picture of them. These 2 boys took my shoe and were playing TUG with it! :( When I scold them, this is how they look... EVERYTIME!!!!!

Dear Jane

I have 138 blocks finished!!! Its a long process here but I am aiming to finish this baby by the end of this year!

Wool Projects

I wanted to give wool a try :)... I bought some Old wool fabrics at goodwill, washed them and make a sampler. My camera is not the greatest. I've been eyeing and admiring these pieces at my favorite quilt shop so I decided I will get it a try!

Eagles

Here are some pictures of the Eagles that I took last week on ONE of our CLEARER Days! They actually live on our property at our cabin! The baby eagles are screamers tho! :( You don't really need an alarm clock here!

Anyway, ENJOY!
Meet Kappy (Kapena: Captain). He is a PugZu (1/2 Pug, 1/2 Shitsu). He is such a joy in our family! He and Koa (Pitbull), actually get along really well. At first, Koa wasn't too sure about him, but with LOVE and training him that Kappy is still a baby and to be gentle, it didn't take him long to get it! :) Kappy LOVES to sleep on his back. In one of the pictures, we were in the car and he just jumped on my lap, turned over on his back and went to sleep! LOL
Hope you will enjoy the pictures!
