Summer Quilt Retreat - Windham, NY

For the first time, I went on a Quilt Retreat! It was absolutely wonderful! The Patchwork Co. located in Windham, NY put out a weekend Quilt Retreat from 5.6.11 thru 5.8.11.  Met alot of wonderful quilters from all over New York.  The weather was perfect!

SEW much to do...SEW very little time!!!

Once I get my life in order here at the home front, I will definitely make time to do more posting here! =) Its been so hard around here from remodeling, niece and kids moving in, buying property and setting them up for rental.  Priorities are winding down so I will have my blog all updated soon!!!

Boomerang 2.0 - Made & Received

I received this block from Kysmommy2 on Friday.  I love the color fabric she used with my F8! THANK YOU!

This block is called "Good Luck" block. I modified the applique part of this block. Hearts were suppose to overlap each other. But after sewing the hearts by hand, I was not pleased with it. I took it apart and this is what I ended up with. I was sent the snowman F8 and the other fabric is what I had in my stash. I hope their mommy likes it! :)

Boomerang 2.0 - Made

Another Dear Jane block called "Quilt Jail". The background is a deep rich brown and the orange is a beautiful orange with flower batik.  

This block is called Lynette's Diamond. This block is from the book "Dear Jane".

These blocks are starting their journey today to their owners! I hope they like it.  Whenever I finish a block and mail them off, I get pretty worried. #1 if they will make it home safely and #2 if owners will like it. I truly sound like a MOM huh? =)

This block is called " Quilt Jail" from Dear Jane Book. I fussy cut characters. I think it came out pretty good. I just  hope KBunn likes it! :)  Now off to sewing room to create more blocks.
